Hello July!! I can’t believe we’re already 10 days in. Getting a late start to the month but excited to share our monthly plans! This pandemic has put some plans on hold and I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to keep two toddlers occupied with a new activity everyday. For July I decided to let go of all the obligations, planning and stress! This month we’re keeping things loose with a fun list to complete at our leisure.

Something about the way he does fatherhood, we just can’t get enough! I’ve never seen a more involved dad, you truly are one of a kind!

We’re The Robinsons! Derrick, Amber, Dylan (2) and Dash (1). Gainesville, FL is home but you’ll frequently find us in other places! We travel a lot and a goal is to show our children the world. We’re a super active sports family that loves to play! I’m going to answer the top questions we always get (How far apart are they, do you want more, what do y’all do) .⁣

In the Kitchen with Dylan today! With everything going on in the world I’ve been spending more time loving on each of my kids individually, which can be a challenge with 2 under 2. The Robinsons have a spectacular oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe that will win any contest!! I’m a novice baker but I use this time to help develop fine motor skills and garner understanding. I want my children to know that all cookies don’t come from packages .😉 She loves helping out and this is how we bond! What activities are you doing or creating this weekend? .

It’s been a heavy week. I’ve been upset, anxious, overwhelmed, triggered, afraid and speechless. Those are a lot emotions to sit with and I can’t even begin to convey how that feels. My children are still young but even they’ve recognized that their mommy is off. What feels the heaviest, is the intersection of race and gender. Black women we are not an afterthought.

Today I got a glimpse of our summer! These two love the water. It was such a great day with our little family splashing and giggling. Florida has no warm-up season, it just decided to go from nice weather to HOT so I guess the unofficial summer is here! 🌞
